Sari Carson - Principal

Principal

My name is Mrs. Sari Carson and I am the Principal of Carrot River Valley School. This is a huge honor considering Carrot River is my hometown.  I have had the pleasure of teaching and living in the community of Carrot River most of my career.  I live on a farm near Tobin Lake with my husband.  We have raised three boys in and around the community of Carrot River, and we are proud to call this place home.
I am a seasoned teacher and administrator with experience in both the elementary and high school systems.  My teaching career began in 1993.   Most of my teaching experience lies in the early years and if one believes that, “everything you need to know you learned in Kindergarten”, I should be well prepared for anything that comes my way. CRVS is a kindergarten to 12 school.  We work hard to “Achieve Greatness Together”.  Our course offerings, extracurricular clubs/sports and our small-town approach are a big part of our success at CRVS.  Our staff, students and greater community embrace the commitments and responsibilities that come with being part of this Wildcat family. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school by calling 306-768-2433 or by emailing carson.sari@nesd.ca

Candace Panchyshyn Beriguete - Vice Principal

VP2

My name is Candace Panchyshyn Beriguete and I am the Vice-Principal of Carrot River Valley School. I have experience teaching at all grade levels from Kindergarten – Grade 12, both in the classroom and as a Diversity Education teacher. I was Principal of Carrot River Elementary School for the past 8 years and have been teaching for 28 years. I spent 5 years teaching internationally in the Dominican Republic where I met my husband, José. We have four children, Fabian, Paola, Sienna and Diego. I was born and raised in Carrot River and consider myself fortunate to be able to raise my family in such an amazing community. I am looking forward to reconnecting with families and meeting those I haven’t had the chance to meet yet.

As we enter the upcoming year transitioning to a K-12 school, my hope is that we can all embrace this change with optimism and excitement.  In the words of Jack Canfield, “Change is inevitable in life. You can either resist it and potentially get run over by it, or you can choose to cooperate with it, adapt to it, and learn how to benefit from it.”

Yours in Education,

Candace Panchyshyn Beriguete
